In order to generate more leads, building and optimizing your product pages on XPRT isn’t just important, it is essential. Nothing illustrates this better than the following fact. Out of the thousands of requests for quotations and requests for info buyers send to potential suppliers via XPRT marketplaces (Environmental XPRT, Energy XPRT, Agriculture XPRT & Medical XPRT) every month, 87% are sent while buyers view product pages.
That means you should publish as many product pages as you can and optimize them so that they rank highly on search result pages and efficiently convert buyers to leads. Follow these simple tips to maximize your product pages’ lead generation potential.
Product titles on XPRT are split into three parts: brand name, model number, and product name. All three parts appear at the top of the product page itself, as well as on storefront pages mentioning the product, XPRT search result pages, and Google search result pages.
Make sure to fill out your brand name and model number to ensure buyers searching specifically for your products on XPRT find you right at the top of search result pages.
As for the product name, make sure it includes keywords buyers in need of your product are most likely to search for. That means going beyond the basic name of your product to include the product’s primary applications or industries. For example, if your business sells a shredder, you may want to mention what materials your shredder shreds and what industries your shredder is used for in the product title. So instead of simply naming your product a Shredder, you would be more likely to attract buyers by naming it something more along the lines of Cardboard shredder for the packaging industry.
Speaking of keywords, once you’ve included the most important keywords in the product title field, you should add more keyword-rich text using the Description and Extended Description fields. Doing this will both help your product rank highly on XPRT search result pages and provide potential buyers and stakeholders in the purchasing decision with all the details they need (features, applications, specs, etc.) before requesting further details or a quote.
While text can go a long way towards informing buyers, don’t forget to include at least one product image, which will appear next to your product title and description on search result pages, as well as at the top of your product page. But don’t stop there. XPRT allows you to upload as many product images as you wish, so that buyers can zoom in and examine your product up close.
Perhaps even more important than images, buyers need to see your products in action. Use the Add related content button at the bottom of your product modification page to upload one or more videos. Your videos will automatically display on your product page and get pages of their own that will attract more buyers to your product page.
The same goes for downloads, such as brochures, spec sheets, manuals, etc. Simply click on the Add related content button to upload your PDFs or documents. These will also appear on your product page, providing buyers with even more of the information they need in order to make a purchasing decision.
And the great thing about videos and downloads is that they appear as gated content on the XPRT site, meaning you will know when a buyer views them and be able to follow up with them.
